Honoring the Journey

The EverRoyal Sparrowhawk Collection

The EverRoyal Sparrowhawk collection is a curated selection of literature designed to provoke thought, challenge reality, and inspire profound reflection. At its core, the series delves into the thin boundary between our waking world and the afterlife, inviting readers to explore the soul's enduring journey.

The Origin of the Question

The seed for this collection was planted during my freshman year of college, following a transformative out-of-body experience. Convinced I had died in a traffic accident caused by my own negligence, I found myself occupying a space between worlds—a purgatory-like state of mind that shifted my entire perspective on mortality. I remember the crushing weight of disbelief in that moment, thinking: How could I be so careless? Is this really how my story ends?

Though I eventually came to my senses the following day after speaking with my now-wife, the haunting reality of that night never left me. It forced me to confront a question that now permeates every narrative I write: In death, does life continue exactly as you perceive it?

The Crucible of Service and Sorrow

While that college experience planted the philosophical seed for these stories, it was my fourteen years of active duty in the Navy that fundamentally shaped my heart as a storyteller.

I entered military service carrying the profound grief of losing my cousin to violence. Sadly, I watched that pain expand over the years as I lost fellow service members to the quiet battles of the soul. The military is a unique crucible. You are thrown into high-stakes environments with people from across the globe, forging bonds that transcend friendship and become family. Had I not served, our paths likely never would have crossed.

As a natural introvert, I have always been most comfortable in my own shell. But service forces you to break that shell. It taught me that every day you wake up, you are gifted with both a chance and a choice. These compounding experiences of loss forged a deep commitment within me: no military family or survivor of loss should ever have to navigate the wreckage of grief in isolation.

A Mission Beyond the Page

EverRoyal Sparrowhawk is more than a series of books; it is a tribute to those we have lost and a firm promise to stand with the families they left behind.

We are building a community rooted in compassion, where military families can find the resources and understanding they need to heal. To honor this promise, at the end of every year, a portion of the funds received from this collection is donated to organizations dedicated to supporting service members, their families, and mental health initiatives. Additionally, one of our highest ongoing goals is to provide educational scholarships directly to the families of service members.

This collection is my way of honoring those who gave everything. Together, we are turning our shared sorrow into a collective legacy of resilience and hope, proving that we can carry the light through the darkest nights.
